The Procedure
This is what happens during a session: First, we will be numbing the area of your brows to ensure there is no discomfort during the procedure. A plastic wrap is used to help activate the numbing components of the cream and to keep the area clean. After approximately 20 to 30 minutes, we will start designing and mapping out your brows. It is a technique that requires various tools and instruments to ensure the design will be well aligned and precise, and will suit your facial features and tastes. During this process, you get to visualize what the finished product will look like and give your feedback. Changes and adjustments can be made before we start. Then, the microblading itself begins, and only takes about 20 to 30 minutes in total. Immediately after microblading, some more colorant will be added and allowed to sit for 15 minutes in order for the skin to absorb it properly.
In the end, a final soothing oil is spread onto your freshly-done brows to keep them moisturized. It is important to keep them well moisturized during the first ten days following the procedure to allow the skin to heal properly. The after care is that easy, and you will even receive the supplies to bring home with you. After 4 to 6 weeks you will come in for your follow-up session. The follow-up sessions are equally important to ensure everything has settled properly and to make any touch-ups, if necessary. It is important to inspect the brows after healing so that little changes and adjustments can be made to reinforce the pigmentation or to fill in any missing strokes, and to make sure that you are satisfied with your finished product.

What IS Microblading?
Microblading is an innovative semi-permanent makeup method that mimics the natural feathering appearance of brows. By using hair-like strokes drawn directly into the skin, a brow artist can create beautifully custom-designed brows that last between 1 to 3 years, depending on your skin type, your activities, and natural pigmentation. What Microblading is NOT: It is not done mechanically, like with tattoos. Rather, it is done using a stainless steel superfine micro blade made up of 9 to 21 tiny needles. The blade is dipped into a color mix that is chosen by the client, with the aid of the artist’s expertise, to create the look that best suits you. Microblading only reaches into 2 layers of your skin, versus the 7 layers needed for regular tattoos, so it looks very natural and can be re-customized over the years to fit preferences and trends.
